**Owaisi VHP Nuh Procession: Owaisi Raises Concerns, Haryana**

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader, Asaduddin Owaisi, voiced strong criticism against the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday. This comes as the VHP declared its intentions to organize a procession in Haryana’s Nuh district. Owaisi pointed out that after the previous bouts of violence in the area, there are hardly any Muslim homes remaining that could potentially face destruction if the situation escalates again.

Turning to X (previously known as Twitter) for expressing his concerns, Owaisi alleged that the VHP was defiantly planning the grand procession, directly opposing the guidelines set by Haryana’s governing party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He further claimed that before the earlier incidents of violence in Nuh, the state authorities were well-informed about the possibility of Muslims becoming targets during such events.

In his series of tweets, written in Hindi, Owaisi highlighted, “Extremists wouldn’t have had the audacity to defy the orders unless they witnessed biased legal actions against Muslims previously.” He took a more direct aim at the BJP, arguing that the party seemed less like the orchestrator and more like a helpless spectator before these “criminal” elements.

Holding the BJP’s Haryana government accountable, Owaisi emphasized that if any renewed violence breaks out in Nuh, it would solely be the BJP’s responsibility. He starkly commented on the aftermath of past disturbances, pointing out the lack of Muslim homes remaining to be targeted.

**Owaisi VHP Nuh Procession: Security Tightens in Anticipation of Procession**

In the wake of the announcement by the Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat for a ‘shobha yatra’ or grand procession, authorities have initiated extensive security measures. Educational establishments and banks were instructed to remain shut on Monday. In a bid to curb the spread of rumors and misinformation, mobile internet and bulk SMS services in the district were suspended.

The district, known for its communal sensitivities, has been reinforced with stringent security protocols. This includes the deployment of anti-riot vehicles and aerial surveillance using drones.

To ensure the safety of Nuh’s residents, external entries to the district have been restricted. Every entrance to the district is crewed by security forces, with rigorous checks in place for every vehicle. The presence of multi-tiered barricades, comprehensive vehicle checks, and drone deployments highlight the intent to avoid any untoward incident.

It’s worth noting that the decision to increase security stems from past incidents. On July 31, communal tensions reached a boiling point in Nuh and its surrounding localities after an attack on a VHP procession. The unfortunate event resulted in the death of six individuals, encompassing two home guards and a religious cleric. The events unfolding in Nuh serve as a reminder of the delicate balance that communities often teeter upon and the paramount importance of maintaining peace and harmony. what you have to say on “Owaisi VHP Nuh Procession” ?
