Indian Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has issued a powerful and emotional warning to Pakistan, saying the country cannot continue harming innocent civilians and get away without punishment. He made this statement during his official visit to Guyana, a South American nation where he was invited to speak at an international diplomatic event.
In his speech, Tharoor said,
“Pakistan must understand that killing civilians is not an act of bravery—it is a crime. No one can be allowed to kill innocent people and escape with impunity.“
Strong International Message
By giving this statement on an international platform, Tharoor sent a clear message to the global community. He said the world must not stay silent when innocent lives are lost due to terror attacks.
He emphasized that India has always respected peace and diplomacy, but when it comes to civilian deaths and terror support, the country will not remain quiet.
“We will raise our voice in every global forum. Terrorism must be condemned by all nations, and the countries supporting it must be held responsible,” Tharoor said.
Civilian Lives Matter
Tharoor’s remarks reflect the growing frustration in India over terror attacks linked to Pakistan-backed groups. In recent years, many Indian civilians and soldiers have died in border violence and terror strikes, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to intelligence reports and international observations, many of these attacks are planned or supported by groups operating from Pakistani soil. India has repeatedly shared evidence with global organizations, yet there has been limited action from some countries.
“How can we call ourselves a civilized world when we allow one nation to shelter and support terrorists while innocent people are killed?” Tharoor asked.
India Wants Global Support
India is now trying to build international pressure on Pakistan. Tharoor urged global leaders to take a united stand against terrorism, warning that terror groups know no borders, and what affects India today may affect others tomorrow.
He added that terrorism is not just India’s problem—it’s a global threat, and countries must stop supporting or ignoring it for political or strategic reasons.
“It’s time for the world to choose: peace or terror,” Tharoor said.
Political Reactions
Tharoor’s statement has been widely shared on social media and praised by Indian leaders across party lines. Many citizens have expressed support for his bold stand and called for stricter international action against terrorism.
