Dr. Rashmi Goel’s success story is an epitome of inspiration for young minds who dream to achieve greatness in their lives. She is the founder and director of the renowned fine arts academy ‘Fine Arts Studio,’ situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She was born in a small town of India called Jagraon in Punjab. At a very young age, Rashmi realised that she was born to live as an artist. She spent her leisure time with her best friends – paints and brushes. As she grew older, she decided to become a professional artist and spread the joy of art among all ages. Her humble beginnings did not deter her to dream big and work hard relentlessly towards it. In 1999, she completed Masters in Fine Arts (M.F.A.) with flying colours, which was also the stepping stone to her journey of becoming a well-known artist. For the next 15 years, Rashmi worked as an art educator with various prestigious schools. And finally in 2014, she established her own art studio in the name of ‘Fine Arts Studio’ in Noida. The studio has opened the doors to many aspirants who wish to receive formal training in fine arts and look for an opportunity to be trained as an apprentice. Till date, more than 300 students have completed Diploma in Fine Arts under her tutelage at her studio. But her ambitions weren’t yet satiated. In 2017, she self-published her own art book ‘Creative World’ which is available in different series. Today, her book has been widely appreciated by art teachers and has become a part of the art curriculum of many schools.
Not only a talented artist and educator, but Rashmi is also a visionary too. The world got introduced to online learning only after the COVID pandemic in 2019, but she realised the benefits of online classes way ahead in 2018 when she had spread the awareness and knowledge about folk art to various parts of the country through her online courses. During pandemic lockdown, she took the voluntary initiative of conducting many art workshops to improve the mental well-being of employees working in multinational corporations. Besides an entrepreneur, she is a social worker too. She enjoys teaching many art forms to children of various N.G.Os and Shri Sai Samiti (Noida). Her efforts were duly recognised, as she was awarded the ‘Super Woman Award’ for making a valuable contribution to the society. There was another feather in her cap when Fine Arts Studio was recognised and awarded as the “Best Art Studio’ in Noida, Uttar Pradesh in 2019. Moreover, in 2020, her famous paintings ‘Tiger Nest’ and ‘Green Star’ were awarded with ‘International Excellence Award’ and were displayed in various exhibitions. She also received an honorary doctorate degree in Kolkata in 2021. The list of her accolades does not end here. In December 2022, Fine Arts Studio was recognised and awarded as the ‘Best Arts Academy’ in Delhi-NCR. She received this prestigious award from the honourable former Member of Parliament (MP) Ms. Jaya Prada
Rashmi’s family has played a pivotal role during all these years. The blessings of her mother Smt. Saroj Bala Garg and late father Sh. Bhupinder Garg have always given her the courage and faith to move ahead with confidence. Her life companion Mr. Sandeep Goel has always stood by her and supported all her endeavours. She, herself, has never left any stone unturned to balance her professional and personal life.
